TST # 158 Stripes and Squares

Today I have a card for you with a masculine flair to it.  Over at Try Stampin on Tuesday our sketch challenge today asks you to combine not only the sketch but a Stripes and Squares theme to it.

Theme:  Stripes and Squares

I love this sketch as there are sooooo many possibilities with it.  You could combine the sketch and make the card a trifold card, a buckle card, etc.  This is definitely a sketch that can be used over and over.
After going through my DSP stock I came across this muted green checked DSP.  I loved the colours and thought that it would make a great masculine card.
By simply adding the Old Olive ribbon with the accent brown buttons it finished off the edge of the upper layer of the card.  Then I needed something to show off the "Smile" ticket so I added in the corresponding beige CS and then raised the ticket sentiment with dimensionals.  The background of the beige was punched, however the effect really does not show up on camera.

Hope you like what I have come up with.  Now it's your turn.  Need more inspiration?  Hope on over to the TST site and see what the other Great Designers have in store for you.

Thanks for stopping by.
