I had a lot of fun while in Florida picking up new supplies and on todays card I get to play with one of the Spellbinder dies that I picked up "Labels Thirteen". Even managed to pick it up on Clearance...bonus!
This card had a home before it was even started. You see it was made for Rob, my Daughters Boyfriend.
There was actually a mistake made with the sentiment, but the mistake ended up to be the side that was used. You see I wanted to stamp around the outside of the CS and leave the centre free to stamp my greeting, but forgot to put the mast piece down. I placed the stamp on the CS and before fulling pressing down I realized I had forgot the mask. I quickly pulled it off but the ink had already started to stamp onto the piece, so I turned it over and tried it again. This is what I ended up with.
Once I looked at the colours and the way it looked I thought hmmm the mistake actually looked better so I went with that. I added a little bakers twine and brads to finish off the front.
I hope you like what I have come up with. Need a little more inspiration for your card, hop on over to see what our great Design Team have in store for you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Nancy this card is gorgeous. It is perfect with the mistake & if you hadn't of said anything I would have thought it was meant to be that way. Don't you love mistakes that work.
ReplyDeleteYour card is fantastic! I love the colours and texture you have used. I also love the way the 'mistake' looks :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, the colors are wonderful (blue and brown - my favorite!) and the dry embossing just stunning!
