TST #77

It's Tuesday again, so it's time for Try Stampin on Tuesday.  Jen has come up with a sketch this week that once again had me seeing many different ideas.  I hope you like what I have come up with.
I wanted to use the oval area on the sketch challenge as a window opening on the card front.  I started by adhering the top two layers together and then with a little bit of elbow great punched out the smaller of the two circles.  Then using the Cherry Cobbler I punched out a small circle and then over that I punched out the larger circle. This became a frame over the opening that I had punched out.

Then using organza ribbon I adhered a strip to the card front and then over that two 1/8" pieces of Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  Using my Dear Hubby's version of a bow maker I created an organza bow and then a smaller one with the 1/8" ribbon.  Fed the smaller bow through the front loop of the organza bow but it just didn't have the look I wanted, so I decided to cut each of the loops at different lengths.  This gave a feathered look to the ribbon.

Topped the bow off with bead embellishments and stamped my greeting.

Ok so now it's your turn.  Create your card, scrapbook page, whatever and post it on the Try Stampin on Tuesday website.  Can't wait to see what your take on this great sketch is.

Thanks for stopping by.

Nancy

  1. Nancy,
I liked how the bow turned out. Very unusual, and fits there perfectly.
