TST #96

Here is another Christmas Card as promised for this weeks Try Stampin on Tuesday.

Did you get a chance to check out our great new Design Team last week.  If not now is your chance.  We have even more Designers than ever before and I'm sure that you will recognize a name or two on the list.

This card I have made especially for a co-worker who lives for Purple.  I try and make all of her cards with that in mind and this one will be no different.  She also like Bling so I have added just a hint of that with the snowflake embellishment.

I started with the Northern Flurry's die and punched out the snowflakes in the two shades of purple.  Then using the MS Branch Punch I punched out these in a soft grey colour.  They almost look silver when you put them with the purple.  Then I spread regular clear glue onto the surfaces and sprinkled Mica Flakes over them.  Once they were dry I layered them and set them up onto a Blossom Punch piece that had been sparkled up as well.

I hope you like what I have come up with.  Now it's your turn.  If you need a little inspiration check out the other Designers at Try Stampin on Tuesday.  Don't forget to post your version of this sketch on the site as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cardabiliities #64

Well the last of my Cardabilities cards is here and I have loved working with these great girls.  The talent is spectacular and I would look at their work and think, what am I doing here.  But none the less I enjoyed every minute.
Today's sketch boggled my mind for a long time, but when push came to shove I decided to go with something a little more simple looking, but it still worked for the sketch.

I used the snowflake embossing folder that I love and used a wooden snowflake shim to only emboss a small area of the card.  I was hoping that the embossing would come out more like the wooden piece that I had, but it didn't.

I hope that you will take the time to check out the other designers at Cardabilities, and while you are there don't forget to leave your take on the sketch.

Hope you enjoy.

Peek-a-Boo Christmas with Tags Too

Cards...Cards...Cards... has started and we are off to a great start.  The projects so far have been awesome and recreations of them are appearing in the gallery already.  Bravo girls!

This is my first project for this session using the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set along with the corresponding Holiday Ornaments dies.

There is still time to register for this session, we still have 16 more days to go.  Just click on the PayPal link at the right side of my blog to join in on the fun.

Hope you enjoy.
