PCC#41 It's a Girl!

Spring is definitely here and along with the birds and the bee's increasing population the babies are certainly on their way.  One of my husbands co-workers has just had their first baby and yes it's a "Girl".

I received the sketch email this morning from Paper Craft Crew and decided to use it for my card.

Rather than go with pink on pink on pink I decided to through a little more colour in with the DSP, but there is still a Lot of Pink!

Also instead of using ribbon or paper for the accents I punched out 2 white and 1 pink from the Martha Stewart Branch Punch for the accents.  The little duck is a button that I found in my stash along with the ribbon.

For the inside of the card I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and positioned the hands to form a heart.  In the centre of the heart I punched out the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart Punch.

This is the first time I have taken part in the Paper Craft Crew sketches so I hope that I have done justice to their sketch.

TST #96

Here is another Christmas Card as promised for this weeks Try Stampin on Tuesday.

Did you get a chance to check out our great new Design Team last week.  If not now is your chance.  We have even more Designers than ever before and I'm sure that you will recognize a name or two on the list.

                                 

This card I have made especially for a co-worker who lives for Purple.  I try and make all of her cards with that in mind and this one will be no different.  She also like Bling so I have added just a hint of that with the snowflake embellishment.

 

I started with the Northern Flurry's die and punched out the snowflakes in the two shades of purple.  Then using the MS Branch Punch I punched out these in a soft grey colour.  They almost look silver when you put them with the purple.  Then I spread regular clear glue onto the surfaces and sprinkled Mica Flakes over them.  Once they were dry I layered them and set them up onto a Blossom Punch piece that had been sparkled up as well.

TST #94

Oh the possibilities.  That is what I thought when I saw the sketch for this weeks Try Stampin on Tuesday.

I decided to make this card in honour of my very own Christmas tree this year.  Each year for the past few years I have changed up my tree with different colours.  I have an all gold tree, blue and silver tree and this year I went with what I thought would be a Mardi Gras theme.  However my daughter says it looks more like a Whoville tree! - purple, blue and green!  So this is my inspiration for my card.

Another Wreath

A few days ago I showed you how to make this little wreath using the MS Branch Punch and the SU Northern Snowflake.

With my sample I decided to make this simple card.  I cut a slice in the card and ran the ribbon through the snowflake and around the top of the card so that it also showed on the inside.  Then added a simple bow.  Embossed it with the Cuttlebug Iron Works and then stamped the sentiment using SU Heard from the Heart.

It is always great when you are able to use up what you already have and sometimes we have more scraps than we know what to do with.

When one door closes another one opens!

One of my colleagues is retiring and moving away.  She will be missed dearly by all of our department staff and this is the card I have created for her inspired by Lynn Pratt.



I used the MS branch punch to make the wreath branches I adhered them to a snowflake from the SU Decorative Strip Northern Frost.
